The Barrs Emerger is a great fishing fly for tough conditions that may make you scratch your head. This trout fly fishes in the film replicating emerging insects like mayflies. In smaller sizes this pattern can be a great pale morning dun imitation for the early and mid-summer season when bugs are plentiful. Great fished by itself to an actively rising fish but also as a dropper fly in a dry dropper rig. Bigger sizes of this bug should not be ignored either as the can imitate larger mayflies as well.
