The Dark Cahill shares a similar profile to other famous trout flies such as the Parachute Adams. These fishing flies are similar because they are both incredibly effective at getting trout to bite. By design, this fly imitates both mayflies and caddisflies, so it works great during either hatch. This topwater fly thrives with floatant and cast into slow to medium water while focusing on a dead drift. Keep slack line to a minimum as you’ll more than likely be getting many bites and don’t want to miss that hook set.
