This fishing fly is an excellent choice for the golden stonefly hatch in the early summer or even for when yellow sallies are active. In larger sizes this trout fly will better imitate a golden stonefly nymph while in smaller sizes it can be a killer yellow sally nymph. The shaggy body of this fly replicates the legs of a stonefly nymph extremely well and helps the pattern move in the water. A great fly to fish on a euro nymph rig with its heavy tungsten bead head but of course is great under and indicator.
