The Thorax Blue Wing Olive imitates the BWO mayfly which hatches from September to April. Fall and winter fishing are almost always accompanied by this species of mayfly, especially out west. The BWO tends to hatch in the afternoon and is a great choice as a lone dry or a lead fly in a dropper setup. Floatant and desiccant help this fly do what it does best.
