The Humpy in black is perhaps the best of its kind. It’s not flashy, it’s just good. No fancy colors just a big bug-looking fly that trout seem to lock eyes with time and time again. A good option to start out with in a dry dropper setup as it doesn’t spook fish or give away the angler as some other flashy options can do. Fish it with a nymph of your choice, say a Pheasant Tail, about a foot below, depending on the water level. This fly works great as an indicator and gets its fair share of bites as well.
